An Act regulating rental car companies.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 32E ¾ of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-

A rental company shall provide renters with the ability to return a vehicle anytime on a Saturday or Sunday to any rental company branch office where vehicle returns are accepted during regular business hours, notwithstanding the fact that the company or branch office is not open for business at that time; provided, however, that the rental company shall document, in such a manner as it deems appropriate, the exact time the vehicle was returned.
