An Act honoring Bob Cousy.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The section of the approach to interstate highway 93 in the city of Boston, categorized as bridge department number B16603-9PG, which was constructed by the department of highways, shall hereby be designated and known as Bob Cousy Way, in honor of Boston Celtics legend Bob Cousy, known as “Mr. Basketball”, for his role in saving the sport of professional basketball by transforming the game into to one of crowd appeal. Suitable markers bearing said designation shall be erected and maintained by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in compliance with the standards of said department and as authorized by the federal highway administration.
