An Act relative to designating a certain bridge in the town of Falmouth as the Deputy John Robert Kotfila Jr. memorial bridge.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Falmouth as the Deputy John Robert Kotfila, Jr. memorial bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The northbound route 28 bridge crossing over route 151 in the town of Falmouth shall be designated and known as the Deputy John Robert Kotfila Jr. Memorial Bridge, in honor of the Falmouth native who was killed in the line of duty as a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriff. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers on the bridge bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
