An Act relative to the study of transit arrival times.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special laws to the contrary, there shall be a commission to study the on time percentage of commuter rail trains in the commonwealth. The commission shall consist of 2 members of the house of representatives, 1 of whom shall be appointed by the house minority leader, 2 members of the senate, 1 of whom shall be appointed by the senate minority leader, the commissioner of the Department of Transportation or a designee, and 2 members to be appointed by the governor.

SECTION 2. The commission shall publish its findings and recommendations with the Joint Committee on Transportation at a date not more than six months after the passage of this bill.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
