An Act relative to the veteran status of certain reservists.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Clause Forty-third of section 7 of chapter 4 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “service”, in line 336, the following words:- ; and (4) a reservist in the armed forces who has served honorably for 20 or more years, regardless of whether such service included any active duty service.
SECTION 2. Said clause Forty-third of said section 7 of said chapter 4, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “both”, in line 423, the following words:- ; provided, however, that this shall not include a member who has served honorably as a reservist in the armed forces for 20 or more years, regardless of whether such service included any active duty service.
