_______________
An Act relative to licensure requirements for Jefte Rivera.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith certain licensure, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law, 237 CMR 13.05, or any other regulation or rule to the contrary, the board of electricians’ appeals shall allow Jefte Rivera to apply for a certificate B journeyman electrician license and shall not deny his application solely because he required additional time to complete his education and work experience requirements; provided, however, that Jefte Rivera may apply for a certificate B journey electrician license within 6 months of the effective date of this act.
