An Act relative to verification of sex offender registration.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The first paragraph of subsection (a) of section 178H of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-
Prosecutions commenced pursuant to this section shall neither be continued without a finding nor dismissed unless the sex offender registry board or police department produces verified documentation that the sex offender has registered.
