An Act relative to crime victim funeral and burial assistance.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 258C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended inserting after the word “expenses”, in lines 18 and 19, the following words: ; provided, however, that $5,000 shall be the maximum award for such funeral expenses and $3,000 shall be the maximum award for such burial expenses.
