An Act relative to roadway safety.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 11 of chapter 89 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
A person using a non-motorized vehicle, which shall mean a non-motorized scooter, bicycle, and small-wheeled transport such as roller blades, roller skates or a skateboard, who is crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk where traffic control signals are not in place or not in operation, shall be considered a pedestrian for purposes of this section.
