An Act to reduce residential solicitation.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

The second paragraph of section 1D of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “suppliers”, in line 38, the following words:-; provided, however, that such non-utility competitive suppliers shall not directly contact prospective residential customers at home or by telephone except upon the customer’s request.
