An Act relative to the authorities of municipal light boards.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 55 of Chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting at the end the following:-

“The municipal light board shall have the authority to enter into an agreement with a City or Town in which it operates to provide billing, administrative, operational or other support services to assist said City or Town with the operation of a municipal water utility owned and operated by said City or Town upon such terms and conditions as agreed to by the parties.”

SECTION 2. This act shall go into effect immediately upon its passage.
