An Act relative to the prohibition of predatory financial practices.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 96 of chapter 140 of the General Laws, as appearing in the Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the word “twelve", in lines 4 and 44, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure: – 8.
SECTION 2. Said section 96 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words “six thousand dollars", in lines 2, 27, 40 to 41, 50 to 51 and in line 68, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure: – $3,000.
SECTION 3. Section 100 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the following word “twelve”, in line 65, and inserting in place thereof the following figure: – 8.
SECTION 4. Section 102 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the figure “$6,000”, in line 19, and inserting in place thereof the following figure: – $3,000.
SECTION 5. Section 110 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words six thousand dollars, in line 15, and inserting in place thereof the following figure: – $6000.
SECTION 6. Said section 110 of said chapter 140, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out the word twelve, in line 19, and inserting in place thereof the following figure: – 8.
