June 26, 2019
To the Honorable Senate and House of Representatives,
Pursuant to the provisions of Article II, Section 8, Paragraph 1, Clause (2) of the Amendments to the Constitution, as appearing in Article LXXXIX of said Amendments, I am filing for your consideration the attached legislation entitled “An Act Validating a Certain Election in the Town of Boylston.”
I am filing this special legislation at the request of the Bolyston Select Board.
The legislation ratifies all acts, proceedings, and votes taken by the Town of Boylston at its annual Town election on May 13, 2019. The ratification serves to address any question that might arise as a result of a minor deficiency in the form of notice posted in advance of the Town Meeting that authorized the ballot for the Town election.
I urge your prompt consideration of this bill.
Respectfully submitted,
Charles D. Baker,
Governor
