An Act amending the charter of the town of Oxford.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 2-3-6 of the charter of the town of Oxford, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the second and third sentences and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The warrant for town meetings shall be posted as prescribed by the General By-Laws.

SECTION 2. Section 6-6-2 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the third through sixth sentences, inclusive, and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The Personnel Board shall meet and review the proposed rules and make recommendations to the Town Manager, who shall issue the rules in the final form.

SECTION 3. Said charter is hereby further amended by striking out section 8-9-2 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

8-9-2 Warrants for the payment of town funds, prepared and signed by the town accountant in accordance with general law procedures, shall be submitted to the town manager to be reviewed, approved, and signed.
