An Act making technical corrective changes to the cape cod and islands water protection fund tax assessments.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 14 of chapter 337 of the acts of 2018 is hereby amended by striking the section in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following:
Section 14. Sections 3, 3A, and 3D of chapter 64G of the General Laws shall take effect for transfers of occupancies of short-term rentals that commence on or after July 1, 2019 and for which contracts with occupants were entered into on or after January 1, 2019. Section 3C of chapter 64G of the General Laws shall take effect for transfers of occupancies of a room in a bed and breakfast establishment, hotel, lodging house, or short-term rental that commence on or after July 1, 2019 and for which contracts with occupants were entered into on or after January 1, 2019.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
