An Act authorizing the town of Winchester to grant not more than 6 licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages on the premises without food to nonprofit charitable corporations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding sections 11 and 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the licensing authority of the town of Winchester may grant not more than 6 general on-premises licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages without food pursuant to section 12 of said chapter 138; provided, that such licenses shall only be granted to nonprofit charitable corporations organized under chapter 180 of the General Laws, and shall be subject to prior approval of the alcoholic beverages control commission. The licenses shall be subject to all of said chapter 138, except said section 17.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
