By Mr. Moran of Lawrence, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4037) of Frank A. Moran and Tram T. Nguyen (by vote of the town) that the town of Andover be authorized to transfer the care, custody and control of a certain parcel of land in said town currently used as a cemetery and burial place to the board of selectmen for the purpose of conveying the parcel to J&J Ball Realty Trust. An Act for Andover burial ground land transfer.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 114 of the General Laws, the town of Andover may transfer the care, custody and control of a certain parcel of land located on Spring Grove road, currently used as a cemetery and burial place, to the board of selectmen for the purpose of conveying the parcel to J&J Ball Realty Trust and the board of selectmen may convey the parcel to J&J Ball Realty Trust for consideration of not less than $7,800. Said parcel, being a portion of the land acquired by the town of Andover in a deed recorded in the Essex north registry of deeds in book 528, page 11, is identified as “Area to be Conveyed from the Inhabitants of the Town of Andover to J&J Ball Realty Trust Area = 8,496 S.F.” on a plan of land on file with the clerk of the town of Andover entitled “Plan of Land in Andover, Massachusetts Showing Land to be Conveyed from the Inhabitants of the Town of Andover to J&J Ball Realty Trust, 47 Spring Grove Road, Andover, Massachusetts 01810” dated January 13, 2017.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
