An Act to ensure parity for all child care providers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 15D of the General Laws as appearing in the 2017 Official Edition is hereby amended by adding the following:
Section 19. Parity for all child care providers
No later than January 1st, 2022, the department of early education and care shall reimburse family child care providers and center-based providers at the same rate. To meet this requirement, the department shall not lower the reimbursement rate provided to center-based providers and shall instead create parity by increasing the reimbursement rate of family child care providers.
