The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain a black metal memorial bench in Pope John Paul II Park Reservation, in the area of the park facing Courtland Circle in the town of Milton, in memory of Robert M. “Bobby” Mudge, and shall design a suitable plaque to affix to the bench that shall note that the bench is “In memory of Robert M. “Bobby” Mudge, a decorated United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam war, and resident of the town of Milton for 30 years, who walked in Pope John Paul II Park every day, and fished in the Neponset River”.
