An Act relative to notification of changing polling locations during a state of emergency.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish an alternative method of notification for changing polling locations during a state of emergency, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety and health.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 24 of Chapter 54, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "shall" and before the word "give", the following:

"except under a declaration of emergency pursuant to Chapter 27, Sec. 2A and from twenty days after the termination of such declaration,"
