An Act relative to the appointment of a school committee member in the town of Sandwich.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The board of selectmen and the school committee of the town of Sandwich may appoint an individual to serve as a member of the school committee until the 2021 annual town election in accordance with the procedures set forth in section 11 of chapter 41 of the General Laws and any such appointment is hereby validated, ratified and confirmed notwithstanding section 4.3.4 of the charter of the town of Sandwich, chapter 22 of the acts of 2014 or any other general or special law or charter provision or by-law to the contrary.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
