An Act authorizing the town of Plainfield to continue the employment of Fire Chief David Alvord.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, David Alvord, chief of the Plainfield fire department, may continue to serve in the position until September 22, 2022 or the date of his retirement or until his non-reappointment, whichever occurs first. As a non-member of the retirement system, no deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of David Alvord in connection with his service to the town for retirement or pension purposes pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to his reaching the age of 65, or take any action relative thereto.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
