An Act relative to the use of electronic signatures under Chapter 32.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, there shall be a task force established to study and provide recommendations regarding the use of electronic signatures on prescribed forms for benefit requests, and all related benefit transactions under Chapter 32 of the General Laws, including but not limited to applications for retirement allowances and pensions, return of member's accumulated total deductions, changes of beneficiaries, direct deposit accounts, address and federal tax withholding. The task force shall consist of: the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on public service, or their designees; 1 person to be appointed by the Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission; 1 person to be appointed by the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System; and 2 persons to be appointed by the Massachusetts Association of Contributory Retirement Systems.
