An Act establishing residency requirements for the offices of mayor, city council, and school committee in the city of Revere.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  No person shall be eligible for election to the office of Mayor, Councillor-at-Large, or School Committee unless at the time of such election he or she has been a resident of the City for at least one year preceding.

Section 2.  No person shall be eligible for election to the office of Ward Councillor unless at the time of such election he or she has been a resident of the Ward being sought for election for at least one year preceding.

Section 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
