An Act relative to an employment contract for the town of Hudson director of public works.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The town of Hudson, acting through its executive assistant, may enter into an employment contract with its director of public works for a period of not more than 3 years to provide for salary, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment; provided, however, that the employment contract shall not grant tenure to the person holding the position of director of public works. The employment contract shall prevail over and preempt any town of Hudson personnel by-law and any personnel rules or regulations established by the town covering the subject matter contained in the employment contract. Funding for the employment contract shall be subject to annual appropriation by the town meeting. 

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
