An Act relative to school disciplinary hearings.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 59 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 official edition, is hereby amended by adding the following:-

Any student disciplinary hearing conducted pursuant to sections 37H, 37H1/2, 37H3/4, or any student handbook, which requires the participation of the superintendent may be conducted and decided by the superintendent or his designee, notwithstanding the provisions of said sections or handbook.
