An Act to expand access to voter registration.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.Section 33A of chapter 51 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-

“The state secretary shall post the electronic document in English, Spanish and Portuguese and in such additional languages as the secretary deems necessary or as required by law.”.

SECTION 2.Section 36 of chapter 51 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 10, the words “and Spanish” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “, Spanish and Portuguese”.
