An Act relative to unenrolled election workers.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 13 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 1, by striking out the words “Such election officers shall be enrolled voters so appointed as equally to represent the 2 leading political parties, except that, without disturbing the equal representation of such parties, not more than 1/3 of the election officers not representing either of them may be appointed,” and inserting in place thereof the words: Such election workers shall be registered voters appointed as equally to represent those enrolled in the 2 leading political parties and those unenrolled in a political party.
