An Act relative to designation of polling places.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 54, Section 24 of the General Laws is hereby amended by deleting the following language "…Alcoholic beverages shall not be sold in any portion of a building which is designated as a polling place, during voting hours or while ballots are being counted…”, and replacing it with the following language. “…Alcoholic beverages shall not be served or consumed in that portion of a building used as a polling place, during voting hours or while ballots are being counted therein…".
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
