An Act relative to voter registration sessions.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 51, Section 26 of the General laws is hereby amended by deleting the following words in the middle of the section “eight o’clock in the evening on the twentieth day preceding such election and no later than eight o’clock in the evening on the tenth day preceding a special town meeting.” And replace them with the following language “close of business on the twentieth day or close of business of the local election officials office on the business day prior to the twentieth day preceding such election and no later than close of business on the tenth day or close of business of the local election officials office on the business day prior to the tenth day preceding a special town meeting. “

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon passage.
