An Act relative to registered voters.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 51, Section 26 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following language to the end of this section, “If any such person was previously registered in another community within the Commonwealth immediately preceding the filing of this new registration, such person shall be allowed to vote in that community for that regular or special preliminary, primary or election for state elections only.”
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
