An Act relative to the duties of the Secretary of the Commonwealth as an election officer.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 3 of Chapter 9 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence thereof the following: If the secretary is a candidate for a constitutional office other than the secretary, he shall be considered disabled from performing that portion of his official duties associated with being the elections officer of the Commonwealth.
