By Mr. Gentile of Sudbury, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 791) of Carmine Lawrence Gentile and others relative to pesticide products eligible for use on the outdoor grounds of schools, child care centers or school age child care programs.  Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture.

An Act relative to improving pesticide protections for Massachusetts schoolchildren.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 132B Section 6G of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking Section 6G (a)-(d) and inserting the following:

(a)  A pesticide classified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as an exempt material pursuant to 40 C.F.R. 152.25, as amended; or

(b)  A pesticide including no active ingredients other than those published in the National List at 7 C.F.R 205.601, as amended.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect 180 days after its passage.
