An Act designating a certain playground in the city of Chelsea as the Jack W. Fraser playground.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The playground located at Mary O’Malley State Park in the City of Chelsea Massachusetts, shall be designated and known as the Jack W. Fraser Playground in honor and recognition of Jack W. Fraser, a longtime resident of Boston and Chelsea. He passed away on May 24, 2017. Mr. Fraser was a Veteran of the US Army during atomic testing in the South Pacific in the 1950's. His death was a result of the exposure to the atomic radiation sustained there. He was very active in the local community and helped the revitalization of the Mary O'Malley State Park. The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
