An Act prohibiting smoking on the grounds of public housing developments.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (b) of section 22 of chapter 270 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following clause:- (4) Smoking shall be prohibited on the premises of a development for housing owned or operated by a housing authority pursuant to chapter 121B. The department of housing and community development shall post, in a clear and conspicuous manner, a sign on each building within the development, notifying persons of the smoking prohibition, in a form approved by the department of public health.
