An Act requiring a valid photo ID at open houses.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Chapter 112 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 87AAA3/4 the following new section:-

SECTION 87AAA3/4 (g) A real estate broker or salesperson pursuant to paragraph (b), post in a clear and conspicuous manner signs at all entrances of an open house, of which warn a visitor or anyone wishing to enter an open house without being accompanied by some person or real estate agent or broker who is known by the agent hosting the open house, must produce a valid photo ID, visitors failing to produce valid identification shall not enter the premises.
