An Act regarding the safety of wild turkeys.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 131 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out section 75 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section 75. Except as provided in this section and section 5, a person shall not hunt or have in their possession a wild turkey or take, molest, disturb, destroy or have in possession the nest or eggs of a wild turkey; provided, however, that a city, town or licensed wildlife rehabilitator may remove a wild turkey from an urban area and safely relocate said wild turkey to a rural area; and provided, further that the commissioner shall promulgate regulations regarding the removal of wild turkeys from urban areas.
