Chapter 30 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
Section 66. (a) As used in this section, the following words shall, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, have the following meanings:-
“Blue lives matter flag” or “Thin blue line flag”, a black and white United States flag with a blue stripe.
“Public employee”, elected or appointed, officers or employees of any public employer, whether serving full or part-time, temporary or permanent, compensated or uncompensated and officers or soldiers of the military forces of the commonwealth.
(b) The blue lives matter flag shall not be displayed in or on any building of a public institution of the commonwealth.
(c) A public employee shall not wear or display the blue lives matter flag while on property owned by the commonwealth or while working in their official capacity as a public employee.
