An Act relative to driver education.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to ensure compliance with social distancing measures, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health.
 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 8 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in the fifth paragraph, the number “18” and inserting in place thereof the following number:- 12

SECTION 2. Said section of said chapter of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in the fifth paragraph, the words:- “not less than 6 hours of observing another student driver and”

SECTION 3. This Act shall expire on June 30, 2021.
