An Act relative to regional navigators for substance abuse treatment.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, the department of public health shall develop a plan to implement regional navigators within cities and towns in geographically diverse areas of the Commonwealth to assist individuals seeking treatment for drug and/or alcohol addiction. Regional navigators shall be available to direct those seeking treatment to resources that can assist in identifying treatment options or providing treatment.
