An Act relative to municipal authority to address congestion and emission impacts of TNCs.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any municipality may develop a system to assess a fee or fees on any Transportation Network Company (TNC) rides originating or terminating in a certain area or areas within the city or town, provided that the revenue generated from said charges shall be used to address traffic congestion, and environmental impacts of vehicle emissions in said area/s.
