An Act relative to requirements for public safety departments.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the police and fire departments of the Massachusetts Port Authority, and of all state colleges and universities shall not require candidates for employment to have prior training through the state fire academy or the state police academy and may send recruits to said academies after hiring.
