SECTION 1. Section 25 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line four, the words “or who shall refuse or neglect to stop when signaled by any police officer who is in uniform or who displays his badge conspicuously on the outside of his outer coat or garment,”
SECTION 2. Chapter 90 of the General Laws is further amended by adding, after section 25, the following new section:
Section 25A. Any person, while operating or in charge of a motor vehicle who shall refuse or neglect to stop when signaled by any police officer who is in uniform or who displays his badge conspicuously on the outside of his outer coat or garment shall have his license or right to operate motor vehicles in the commonwealth suspended for a period of at least 180 days.
