An Act relative to elevator certification fees.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 65 of Chapter 143 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following sentence:-

Should the owner or operator of the elevator contract another entity for the purpose of maintaining the quality of the elevator, all fines due to expired certification shall be assessed to the contracted entity.
