An Act relative to retired public employees not eligible for Medicare.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 32A or 32B, or of any general or special law to the contrary, the contribution by a governmental unit to the health insurance premium for retired public employees over the age of sixty five and not eligible for the federal Medicare program shall be at a rate that ensures the contributions by said retired public employees does not exceed premium contributions for health insurance plans offered to retired public employees eligible for the federal Medicare program.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
