An Act relative to encouraging diversity in tax credit programs.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any person, group, business, or entity applying for any tax credits from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shall be required to submit a plan for diversity and inclusion, including but not limited to representation of women, veterans, and persons of color in their ownership, financing, development, administration, contracting, and ancillary expenditures. Said plan shall be submitted to the Supplier Diversity Office and the Office of Access and Opportunity as a requirement for application and shall be considered in determining eligibility.
