SECTION 1. "(2) Operator - Type 2. A person who has successfully completed a course of at least six months, which course must have included 1000 hours of professional training in a cosmetology school approved by the Board OR. Complete 2000 hours of apprentice training over a period of at least 12 months under the supervision of a Massachusetts licensed cosmetologist who has practiced in the state as a Type 1 Hairdresser/Cosmetologist for at least two years, may apply to the Board for examination and licensure as an operator.
