An Act relative to senior "circuit breaker" Medicare Part A adjustment.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Paragraph (1) of subsection (k) of section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following definition:

“Non-Medicare qualified payments” – total payments for Medicare Part A insurance paid in the prior calendar year due to non-eligibility for free Medicare Part A.

SECTION 2. Paragraph (2) of subsection (k) of said section 6 of said chapter 62, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting, after the words “real estate tax payment” the following new words:- “plus non-Medicare qualified payments”
