An Act to establish the third Saturday in July as Black Picnic Day.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

The eighteenth clause of section 7 of chapter 4 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “the last Monday in May”, the following:-

the third Saturday in July, Black Picnic Day formerly known as Negro Election Day, provided, however, that all state and municipal agencies, authorities, quasi-public entities and other offices shall be open for business and appropriately staffed,
