An Act to reduce energy burdens and increase competitiveness in the Commonwealth.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Subsection (c) of section 10 of chapter 25A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out clause “(6)” and by inserting before “(5)” the following word:- “and”

SECTION 2. The first sentence of subsection (o) of section 94 of chapter 143 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out all words after the phrase “state building code”

SECTION 3. Section 98 of said chapter 143, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following new sentence:-

Such restrictive standards cannot apply to those provisions of the state building code that are based upon the International Energy Conservation Code.
